What I’m Packing for the Long Weekend

Seattle is a 2 – 3 hour drive from Vancouver, so I am surprised that I’ve made it to 2 years without visiting! Whenever it came to holidays or long weekends, I would plan on travelling further than what was on my doorstep. I don’t have any regrets with that of course, as I’ve had the opportunity to travel to so many great places this side of the world like New York, LA, San Fran, New Orleans, Cuba, Mexico and more!

When people ask me why I decided to move from London to Vancouver, my biggest reason was (and still is) to travel. Vancouver was only meant to be a temporary work trip for 2 years, before returning back to the hustle and bustle of London, but thanks to a special someone life changes it’s course. Given that I’m going to be staying in Vancouver for longer, my focus has been pulled to what’s closer to home. Whether that’s getting to know this city better, or exploring what’s in a weekend radius. Going forward, you’ll be seeing a lot more local discoveries popping up on my blog, and I’m very excited to start sharing these experiences with you!

When it comes to packing for weekend trips, I do try and keep things really light and manageable. This trusty suitcase has been on most of my short trips, and below I have detailed a few of my essentials along with my outfit details :

SIMPLE BASICS FOR A WEEKEND AWAY

S/S Crewneck Tee in White with Navy Stripe

    Janice Top

    Alessandra Top in Black

Flat Knitted Rib Crew Neck in White

    My Outfit

My earrings are from Mango, but you can find some similar one here and here. I am also wearing my Zara leather coat, with an Anine Bing T-Shirt and Mango mom jeans.

I always have my goto footwear for travel weekends; my Isabel Marant Bobby Sneakers which are comfortable and more dressed up than your classic run around sneakers. Then, of course my classic Acne Pistol boots for evenings out, and alternately smart flat boots if your feet need a break, or you’re going to do some evening sightseeing.
