It’s no secret that I love denim, it has been one of the main features in my wardrobe for years. I’ve done everything from the denim patch jeans to the ripped knees, and more recently the uneven hem. I’ve rounded up the 5 denim trends I’m most excited about this year, and I’m going to be sharing them with you below! If you saw my last post on Spring Jackets then you’ll know I am on a budget. I have tried to keep the roundup swayed towards the more wallet-friendly items – but be warned there are a few designer pieces among them!
Straight-leg jeans are easy to throw on for weekend errands or happy hour with girlfriends. Plus, I love the way they look paired with feminine flats or mules. These Loeffler Randall Coco Mules paired with one of the cute baskets from Hat Attack would be my ideal scenario!
I don’t know about you, but black jeans have been my go-to this winter, they’re slimming and classic, yet with the weather warming up I’m ready to switch things up and try this deep indigo trend. It’s still polished, crisp and perfect for the more formal occasions. Not to mention you will still get the same slimming effect as black jeans because they’re equally as dark. I’m excited to try this hue in a straight leg or flared cut, paired with a classic white t-shirt and these woven mules.
As soon as the sun came out in Vancouver I threw on my most loved white cropped jeans. You can see me wearing them here in one of my recent posts. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the exact jeans as they were old Zara, but I recently found some beautiful alternatives sprinkled across Shopbop + in the line-up below. I think white jeans are an absolute must for Spring and Summer!
I don’t mind taking a trip back to the 90’s and revisiting the grunge-inspired denim… think acid wash and distressed denim. I think you can rock any trend depending on how you choose to style it. Acid wash is something I’ve been loving a lot lately, and I have been wearing these mom jeans on repeat.
According to the team at Net-a-Porter, the Canadian tuxedo will be big for Spring. But! if you’re living in Canada like me, then you need to be careful about how you rock this look. I love denim so I’ve been thinking of trying this head-to-toe trend in the cutest way possible; picture pretty pinafores and dungarees paired with cute sandals and pastel tops.
