    My Bullet Journal 2018

This week has been all about getting organized. I mentioned in THIS post that I felt like last year I lacked direction and spent a year reacting to things instead of actively pursuing goals. This year I want to take a different approach! When I was looking at fun ways to organize I came across Bullet Journals – something I completely missed last year.

What is a Bullet Journal I hear you ask? It’s a customizable organization system. You can choose what you have based on what’s important to you. It can be a to-do list, a sketchbook, savings tracker, budgeting system, notebook, and diary all wrapped up into one.

I was almost reluctant to start mine right away because I had seen other people who had amazing and beautiful calligraphy featuring in their journals. I wanted to get better at calligraphy before starting but then I realized this year should be about embracing progression. So, I started with my normal writing, and overtime I will slowly add in calligraphy once I have more practice. I saw these lettering courses on Brit & Co, all under $30; Calligraphy 101, Calligraphy 201 and lastly this cute Fauxligraphy course (if you wanted to get started right away). In addition to these courses, I have linked the recommended supplies below. These are of course more intermediate / expert level, but it’s something to consider investing in when you want to get more serious about calligraphy:
