Matchstick has quickly become one of my favourite coffee shops to visit around Vancouver. Although there is a small menu, they have crafted everything with care. I read on their website that it took 18 months for them to perfect their country style loaf of bread which they decorate with a variety of yummy toppings from savoury soft eggs to ricotta and honey. Not to mention, their coffee is delicious and carefully crafted in house.
The ambience and setting brought me back to summertime in London, when the weekends were all about brunch, coffee, flowers and strolling down the bustling canals. It was so lovely to relax and spend some time in Matchstick, and it serves as an amazing place to people watch and enjoy good company, it’s also also a great spot to post up and get some work done. I would highly recommend their Fraser location as it’s a bit quieter than their Chinatown location. Plus, you can also swing by Harlow, a beautiful store just a few doors down.
I hope to visit their Riley Park location over the holidays too!
