entertainment guide: SEPTEMBER edition

A new month brings about new entertainment! Even though it’s been summer and I’ve been spending more time outside, I’ve still been able to make time for a few things which I’ve found interesting and I would like to share them with you!

I have been on the hunt for a new books to dig into this September, and the first one I settled on is written by actor / comedian Aziz Ansari. This book, entitled MODERN ROMANCE, embarks on the pleasures and perils of modern romance. Here is a little snippet:

“Why did this guy just text me an emoji of a pizza?” “Should I go out with this girl even though she listed Combos as one of her favorite snack foods? Combos?!”

Pretty excited to read this one!

Like most people this summer, I too got swept up in the GAME OF THRONES madness. In the beginning it was hard for me to come around to watching it, and I actually worked on 3 episodes in 2011. At the time, I didn’t really know what it was and I had no idea how big it was going to be back then!

I also watched the documentary ICARUS which talked about doping in sports. It blew my mind to see just how many people were partaking in this, and it was a serious eye opener to what goes on behind the scenes of competitive sports.

I finished watching OZARK about a week ago. I think this is possibly one of the most talked about shows of the month along with Game of Thrones and Icarus. Ozark was created by Bill Dubuque, the writer of The Accountant. If you’ve seen The Accountant then you’ll notice they both have a raw and gritty style.. nothing like these Feel Good TV Shows!

What are you looking forward to reading / watching this month?

Victoria and Abdul at the cinema and I think there’s a new series coming up called Tin town or something like that. I’m also watching the latest series of Suits on Netflix. It was on mainstream TV here in the uk but they have moved it to Netflix, probably because of Meghan Markel’s relationship with Prince Harry
