4 Rainy Day Books to Invest in

If you’re following along on my Instagram Story then you may have seen that I received this wonderful book on How to Drink French Fluently, which holds amazing French-inspired cocktails! I had their Voodoo at a friend’s dinner party and ordered the book there and then, thank you Amazon Prime! If you’re wanting to step up your host/hostess game I would recommend this book. The Voodoo was an instant hit!

Much to Pre’s despise, I love having coffee table books to hand! For me, it’s inspiration at your fingertips. You just have to start flipping through the pages packed full of color before new ideas start swirling around in your mind. Whenever I am feeling demotivated or uninspired, I usually get away from the screens and tuck myself into the corner of the sofa with a cup of tea in hand, and one of the books from the coffee table.

Lately, I’ve been longing for warmer weather as Canada has been relentlessly rainy and gloomy (not so great for creativity). So as a way to fight back at the weather, I feel like adding some more destination books would provide the perfect element of escapism from the current doom and gloom of Vancouver.

I recently saw one of my favorite bloggers recommend this Chic Stays book by Conde Nast Traveller’s. It is on the more expensive side but I do only plan on buying one! I would also love this book on Sailing as well as this India Hicks: Island Style book.
