Happy World Environment Day!
This weekend we stopped by the Garden Centre after arriving back from Mexico. If you follow my blog then you’ll know I have been reading Lab Girl. It’s such a wonderful book and it’s teaching me so much about plants. I have always loved the idea of growing my own garden but feel like I’m bad at it. This month I am going to try and start successfully growing herbs! I think they’re pretty useful to have and it’s a good start for me!
Herbs I Purchases:
(must be grown separately)
I had to get this Lavender plant. Both my Nan and Mum have them in their garden and I used to pick the flowers and make dried lavender bags for my chest of draws/ wardrobe. There are so many things you can do with Lavender it’s handy to have! Once it gets bigger I can start making a few things from it.
I know I said I was going to wait to start growing vegetables but I saw these tomatoes on the way out and thought I would give it a go. They are meant to be one of the more easier vegetables to grow along with the following:

Lettuce and Salad Greens
And finally at home on the Patio planting them into pots!I am going to make some better DIY planter labels on the weekend so I’ll do another post and let you know how they’re going! I hope this post inspires you to start a little garden of your own, even if it’s just herbs and a lavender plant! Also, if you’re not already into the refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, habit, choose today to make it a part of your life!
