One of my goals last month was to finish reading my 1 of 12 books for the year. Last week I completed reading The Ice Station which opened up a whole new world of genres I could dive into. I went through an action thriller phase which spawned from reading The Sister Brothers, however, as it’s a new season and the sun is out, I’ve decided to embark on a new journey and try something different. With a solid hour of research and multiple tabs open, I came up with the list below:
1. Lab Girl
I usually stick to my Kindle, but as I’m getting back into reading I decided to treat myself to one real book. The rest I have purchased from Amazon. I desperately love holding books and flipping trough the pages, and would love to have a shelf full of books but I don’t have the space in my apartment. The books I do tend to buy are usually for the coffee table.
I use Goodreads to look for new books and also track my challenges and progress for the year. It’s also a great place to keep track of what books you’ve read, or want to read. Plus, it’s a fantastic community for book lovers. You can also follow your friends and see what they’re reading and loving as well. Here’s the link to my Goodreads.
Do you have any book you would recommend for the summer?
